Best I can come up with is this from BMW Registry.com

    http://www.bmwmregistry.com/faq.php

ECE sedan (LHD): 1,296 built from 11/95 thru 01/98

ECE sedan (RHD): 694 built from 12/95 thru 01/98

NA sedan manual (LHD): 4,574 built from 09/96 thru 05/98

NA sedan automatic (LHD): 4,036 built from 09/96 thru 05/98

SA sedan (RHD): 168 as Complete Knock Down (CKD) kits from 09/96 thru 11/96, 532 as complete cars from 01/97 thru 11/98

Looks like over 8,600 in North America from 9/96-5/98

Pfft. Whatever. I love my sedan. I love convience factor of it. Easier to get into the back, easier to get out the car in tight spaces, and its unique. I see tons of coupes around town and at work, but I dont' see many sedans.

I like the sedans too. Even with the m3 badge and with the 4 doors it's still kind of "sleeperish" and like you said, easier convenience-wise.

Yours looks good and somebody else (can't remember who) has a white one in their sig that is real clean.

          Take care,

          Jason

It was DSK M3/4's sedan by the way. I said white and don't believe it's white from the pic. Very clean...

I originaly wanted a coupe, but now that I have my sedan I'll never have a 2 door unless its like a lambo or something.

I've got two kids seats in mine. I can't think of another car that fits the bill so well. Luckilly they both have decent side bolsters.

                Alternative....Minivan or worse...SUV

As Salty says...it's a perfect "family" car. Great as an only car in the household.

lol....can't we all just get along :box: . I don't understand why some people hate on the sedans. The only reason I hear is "it's not a true sports car". Ok, well my non sports car is just as competent on the track as your "true sports car". I love em both. For me the sedan is perfect and no, I don't have a family. I just like being able to have friends jump in the back without getting out and moving the seat up etc.

I also love my sedan, i just got tired of moving my seat to let people into my car after having 2 coupes. Also it's unique, every m3 around here is a coupe except mine.

As you can see, people wanted them then and still want them now.

BMW must also see a future for them as well. It is my understanding that all odd number (ie: M3, M5) will be 4 door and the even numbers (ie: M4, M6) will be 2 door.

Now, what was that you were saying? :hmm:

I personally think the sedan look nicer than the coupe. The lines seem to flow better to me. I'm not saying the coupe is ugly or anything though.

thanks for the compliment! there's something pretty cool about having a sedan that can keep up with a Porsche C4S through a canyon run.
