My original quote. "It amazes me when a Lancer EVO, Skyline GTR or WRX STi can out corner and out brake a 911 Turbo Carrera in a sustained high speed corner." Maybe this IS a little vague, but I don't think this is forwarding an opinion that these cars are "faster" as you THINK I said than the 996 Turbo. Believe me, I was amazed when I saw the Skyline able to do what it did. I probably shouldn't have included the EVo and WRX in this statement. The only reason I did was because I've seen the WRX and EVO race evenly with the Skyline on the same track. What happens one day with drivers in different cars shouldn't be compared. My mistake.

In a subsequent post I also said that on this track, on this day the Porsche may have been at a disadvantage. Didn't I also say that the drivers suggested this as well? I agree, that one video doesn't settle the argument of Skyline versus 996 Turbo, because like you I believe this is a rare occasion. And I also agree that all data supports that the Porsche should be faster, and not ONLY empircially. But, I never once said the Skyline was "faster" as you suggest. I was just amazed the Skyline did what it did. Didn't I say the Porsche came from last place and won the race, even after participating in previous tests? For me, I'd want the Porsche over the Skyline any day of the week. I agree with what another poster said that the allure of the Skyline may lie in its rarity in the US. Although one could more easily buy one now. It's called the Infiniti G35.

It is your off hand dismissal of ANY evidence that contradicts your ingrained dogmatic opinion that I find entertaining, especially when your commenting on something you didn't see. You also seem to be focusing only on the things you disagreed with and haven't given me credit for all else I posted much of which does agree with you. As I said before, watch the video for yourself. It was a fun race.

I offered my "comment" as constructive criticism, not an insult. Can't adults disagree? But wait, maybe I was wrong, cynicism can be a good thing too. That is, as long as it is used with an open mind.

Yeah, I like the NSX too. More than any other Japanese car. But I also love my M3, and in my current situation wouldn't trade it for the NSX for many of the reasons others have already stated.

    Have a good one.

it's not vague you are saying that all three of those cars are faster in that quote. you are later back peddalling when you can't offer any evidence to support this assertion.

adults can disagree respectfully, as i have been with you. but when you start to talk down to the other person (by saying you find them "amusing") then you are being insulting, dismissive and derogatory.

since you cannot seem to reply without being insulting i'm done with this discussion.
