Big fan of the NSX. From a practicality stand point it's a stupid car, but who wants to be practical?

There's no doubt the NSX is WAY more reliable than the M. I've seen this NSX with milage 500k on this mag, and the owner is still driving it!

I have a 92 and maitenance cost is minImal, but then again it's not a daily driver. It is NOT recommended as a daily driver for sure.

It is no regular Honda, I feel WAY more exclusive and exotic in the N compared to the M. This chic sits in my M and still has now idea what car she's sitting in.

Although the E46 M is like a second faster in 0-60, it feels faster and much more stable at high speed compared to my M.

If it’s made by Honda, called a Honda it’s still a JUST a Honda.

True. Same with how a Lexus is still JUST a Toyata, but Lexus is not even in the game of sports car, yet. Don't you think the REAL ability and characteristics of a car is more important than a mere brand name badge?

This brings up another point, do ppl feel proud to be driving MB c-coupe and BMW 1-series? I wouldn't.

The NSX is exotic...period. That's the big difference in my head. To be fair, we don't get a big wow factor from most people with our M cars. They may like them, but if you pulled up in an NSX..eyes would be popping. You just dont' see them everyday and they LOOK exotic. Aside from performance, reliability, etc, I think that the straight up look is a huge factor.

There is nothing sleeper about an NSX.

If the car is just for fun and going to be driven on weekends, I would probably take the NSX. If this is a daily driver, however, I gotta go with the M3 - much more practical.

I agree ,,, to a point, but when you have a company like Ford (I do have a ranger) and the only thing they make well (NOW) are trucks, releases a $100k Ford GT, this is what I think when they pull up to me at a light. WOW, that person paid $100k Ford, Same for the NSX, now from what I hear the NSX and the GT are amazing and I don’t argue that. But my ignorance to these companies will not allow me to ever consider them anything other than a FORD or Honda etc..

And momo I would take a 1 series over a Mazda 3 or civic, but I see your point…

Thank you all for making this a great slack day at work.

So, FormanBob, you couldn't ever buy a Jaguar, Audi, Saab (not that I would anyway) either than?

There aren't too many pure luxury companies anymore.

I guess this thread kind of explains why cars like the 3000GT, Supra, RX-7, and 300zx died off. People didn't like paying premium dollars (thought not NSX premium) for an "inferior" brand image.

Right , but this is why, JAG= Too much Ford, and the fact that you have to buy a mechanic with the car, Audi still just a VW , and Sabb well GM and just nasty looking,

I am not always looking for a Luxury car, if you need a truck = Ford, if you need a car for your kid but want safe and something you wouldn’t mind them wrecking a MAZDA is ok. If I wanted an SUV I would but a 96-2001 Ford Explorer. The New Hummer stuff or should I say Gm ,, all crap. That is compared to what the hummer name used to mean.

How about the new Studebaker SUV? It’s going to be around $72-$79k and it is based of an f-250…

Normally, I would side with you on the "it's just a _____", but we're talking super high end Honda or Ford. Considering what Honda can do with 30k with an S2k, you know that their 90k car is going to be amazing. Ford...well...that's a different story, but that GT is going to be phenomanal (can't spell).

There's a Honda in my garage thats

                        1. Built as well as your M3

                        2. As fast as your M3 (2 less cylinders and 1.2L less displacement)

                        3. More reliable than your M3

                        4. Handles better than your M3

                        5. Gets better gas milage than your M3

                        6. Has a better transmission than your M3

                        7. Looks as good as your M3

want me to keep going? As much as i love my e36 M3, i know it's not the end-all of performance vehicles and there are other NON-GERMAN car companies completely capable of making comparable and superior cars...
