how to tell euro from u.s hfm's?

i got a quick question for the group. how do ya tell the difference between the euro and u.s HFM? is it a size thing? is there a part number i can quick reference and compare to my own? i had the dinan treatment done by a dealer,(bought the car used with the goodies on it) and i'm curious to see if the HFM was part of the upgrade

the adapter is different that hooks directly up to the euro airbox.

If you mean a STOCK US HFM vs. a Euro HFM then there will be a difference in size (euro=3.5" and US=3.0")

What exactly is Dinan treatment? Did they give you a receipt? on the receipt, it will tell you exactly what was done.



(to have dinan components installed and not know what they did means someone must have more money than brains!! :thumbsup: and i am jealous!)

hahahaha.............all i know that the previous owner had a bunch of dinan stuff installed @ 10,000 miles ago. which visually looking at is dinan cai, rear exhaust section and chipped. so apart from measuring it, there isn't a part i can quickly x-reference? just pull the silicon sleeve off the hfm and measure

If you have the Dinan HFM it will say "DINAN" on it.

which is why i wanted to know what comes with what. believe me if i paid for it, i would have known what i bought! i'll have to check after work and measure it myself. i guess with all that stuff i must be pushing @ 260 bhp

Why? You dont NEED a 3.5" HFM.
