      It does give power...but...in order to run it you also need:

      3.5" Intake

      HFM Specific Software

      3.5"->3.0" Reducer

      You cant just fit the HFM..gotta to have the whole package.

        you don't want the euro... you want the US part # ending in 800, from the 540's and 740's from the 90's. They are the same (minus mounting tabs for the euro airbox which you aren't going to use with a CAI) I got mine used for $100.

          oh wow............thanks brandon. i'll try looking out for that. so with reference to the larger hfm. the dinan software that i have won't work with the larger hfm? i'm looking at the conforti intake to replace the dinan cai that i have. yeah baby....carbon fibre :thumbsup: i'm not gonna mod my zkw's for the sake of an aftermarket cai that was designed for u.s headlights. plus i like the look of the conforti and foam itg filter. so if anyone interested in a complete dinan cai with @ 10,000 miles. gimme a shout

            by the way rogue..........i know you're trying to be helpful. but it was pretty obvious that i needed the right size intake and reducer. just wasn't sure if my dinan software was up to it.

                        opps........misread the first quote. i was told by m3motorwerks that i didn't need the larger hfm because i have a 1999 vehicle. but then i was also told that if i did go for the larger hfm. then i'd have to go be to the dealership and have them erase the dinan software or re-flash back to factory settings. then have my computer re-programmed again to match the new larger hfm.

                          which is why i wanted to know what comes with what. believe me if i paid for it, i would have known what i bought! i'll have to check after work and measure it myself. i guess with all that stuff i must be pushing @ 260 bhp

                          260hp :rofl2: With all of those mods. I don't think so, most guys in that range has all the bolt ons there are made for there car, and even with that some don't even make the mark.

                            i guess i made a joke to someone? i thought standard horsepwer for the 3.2 m3 was 240bhp? so with the dinan cai, re-programmed ecu and dinan exhaust isn't worth another @ 20 bhp? what do you think otherwise, mr know it all? :chair:

                                I think your confusion is that you are talking crank hp, and they are talking wheel hp. My car stock made 221hp (which is a really strong motor)... figure an 18% drivetrain loss and a stocker should be right at 200, which is also assuming that BMW doesn't under-rate the cars... anyway, there is a very good chance you are making 260 at the crank, but almost no way in hell that you are at the wheels. Nobody means to insult, hang out a bit and you will see these guys know their ****, and are an excellent resource.
