Thanks Zach!! I still don't understand why they didn't just use a single soft line back there, but oh well... hopefully the car is done before our ATL meet :laughhard:

My car needs some serious attention... it's gonna be a time crunch for me, too.
I dunno, with all those extra fittings used there were just more things to rust... A single soft line would have lasted just as long as the two soft lines, and would have only had 2 connections rather than 4. Oh well... they're both brand new hard lines with SS braided lines now :thumbsup2:
I was more referring to your vast collection of tools than the place. Its just what popped into my head when replying
Ohh... gotcha :laughhard: My tools are either Snap On, Matco or for the most part Craftsman. Only thing I use HF for is cheap disposable stuff like cutoff wheels, electrical tape, etc etc... I have since picked up a hard line bending tool though

Your car is , i doubt it needs much :thumbsup2:

When it's split into two different lines, the stress on each line is reduced significantly than what the total stress on one line would be, and therefore, the lines will last longer. Rust isn't an issue in legit climates like Colorado either. :thumbsup2:
with the welder, I go through a lot more consumables, and have found I SAVE money by getting good/quality consumables
I paid $.99 for a pack of 100 zip ties, $2.99 for 10 rolls of electrical tape, and $5.99 for a pack of 10 3" cutoff wheels... Can't really beat that man... :clueless:
I have those 3" cutoff wheels... I go through them like water
I've used harbor freight zip ties, and they suck as well
I've also used HF electrical tape. I used the first roll of the 10, and threw the other 9 away. After about a week, the tape doesnt stick anymore and makes a bigger mess than when you started...
Believe man, I know what you are saying, cuz I used to be there, but I've learned I save time/money by getting quality consumables..
I just picked up 2000 zip ties (yes, I actually go through that many), from Home Depot for $70. 500 4", 1000 8", and 500 14". Averages out to be $0.035 per zip tie.
Pictures don't do it any sort of justice.... they are candy apple neon colors with a metallic flake and look almost too nice for the underbody of a car. Everything came out far better than I could have imagined and I can't wait to assemble everything with brand new hardware this weekend!!! :woohoo:
