    Hi DY1126,

Send me your EEPROM dumps, and I’ll have a look at them. Also, what should the odometer mileage be?

    Thanks,
    Joel

      Thank you for your reply.

Regarding the mileage, I’m sorry, but I’m unable to confirm it at the moment because “EEP_1” is displayed in the odometer area instead of the actual mileage.

I have attached both dump files. Could you please check them when you have a chance?

Thank you very much for your help.

        DY1126,

I looked though the EEPROM dumps you posted. First of all, the 93C46 coding plug looks good. It indicates a mileage of 63790. Unfortunately, the 93C56 dump from the internal EEPROM doesn't match the Z3 coding data, and seems corrupted. This likely means the internal EEPROM has failed and will need to be replaced and recoded Or you just got a bad read. But since you have an EEP_1, I'd guess it's a bad EEPROM. If you want to replace the EEPROM yourself, I can recreate an EEPROM dump that matches your car if you provide your VIN (even the VIN is corrupted in your read). You can also send the cluster to me for repair, if you would like. Send me a DM either here or on social media if you want to do that.

        Thanks,
        Joel

          Thank you for your reply.

I read the 93C56 EEPROM again, but the entire dump was filled with zeros. It seems that the EEPROM was not read correctly, or the chip itself may be faulty.

I will send you the VIN via private message. I would greatly appreciate it if you could create a corrected dump file for me.

Thank you very much for your help.

I’m sorry to bother you again.

I tried to send you the VIN via private message, but I was unable to do so because I do not currently have permission to send private messages.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but could you please let me know how or where I can send the VIN to you?

Thank you very much for your help
