For reference, I'm providing this information. I tried the process again. It reached this point and stopped, and after waiting for about 10 min., I clicked on the “Download New Version” option at the bottom, which caused the program to close.Originally posted by terra View PostHmm, well I did change the read function to put the DME in programming mode since the read is a lot faster that way. I'll see if I can replicate the crash.
This is an E9x I assume?
I have no way of knowing whether the reading had actually finished or not.
The error codes are still present on the dashboard.
I also compared the file size with the file that was previously downloaded using the older version, and they are both exactly 128 KB.
This is what I have been able to determine so far.
%update : When I uploaded the file read with the older ver. and the file downloaded with the new ver.to AI for comparison, it said that the data was identical in every respect.
The full read was completed successfully. As you mentioned, some fault codes remain after the read is completed. They show up both on the cluster and when scanning the car with a diagnostic tool.
After key off and back on, the fault codes can be cleared normally with the diagnostic tool.
I’m not sure why it didn’t work properly at first, but apart from the Read Tune function, the full read seems to work normally and quite quickly.
