What is this loose harness plug in engine bay?

Details on my car: it's a 2004 coupe with SAP deleted and Mishimoto e-fan setup installed by previous owner, so no clutch fan and no fan shroud.

I was cleaning up some of the wiring behind the passenger headlight and have always had this rather large plug that's always been unplugged sitting in the canyon between the shock tower and header heat shield. I cant find what it plugs to and was wondering what it could be for, my assumption is it was related to the OEM clutch fan setup? Or even possibly for the SAP? Any input is appreciated as Im curious if its critical or I can cover and tuck it away so its not just sitting exposed.

I really rather suspect that' for the SAP, but I can't be 100% sure. Removing the mechanical clutch fan for a Mishi electric fan won't leave any plugs over. Regards

Removing the shroud deletes that environmental sensor box on top of it that is supposed to turn on recirc mode automatically, unless it’s zip tied down somewhere else. That plug is closer to the passenger headlight harness though

That looks like the plug for the SAP.

N15 Fan brackets. The sensor I fabricated it out of a piece of aluminum.

Yeah I recognized the fan brackets, I run the same ones with the aux fan controller add-on … it’s a really nice solution. Wouldn’t happen to have any extras of the sensor aluminum piece lying around that you’d sell to me?

Apologies for the delayed response, cars been on ramps in the dark corner of the garage and couldn't take good followup pics.

Yup, I think that plug being for SAP solves the mystery, thanks for that guys! But I forgot that I originally made this post cause I had TWO plugs that were loose/unplugged, I forgot to mention the 2nd one! The 2nd one is a smaller plug in that same area, on the same wiring harness as the fan controller and passenger xenon headlight, it looks exactly like the plugs for the headlight auto-level and high-beam shutters. I'm leaning maybe it was related to the clutch fan?

But my A/C works fine and recirc works (well at least when I manually put it on, not sure if Auto recirc mode works). I guess it could be possible the previous owner tossed the black box when he did the e-fan install..
