I would second this, Bilstein customer service is meh and if they can't re-build one shock you have to buy the whole set again. Had a couple friends have issues with them. Maybe Ohlin's is the same not sure but, I know K/W is much better for re-builds, customer service is fantastic and can purchase one shock if needed or any parts to re-build.

There’s hundreds of bilstein rebuilders out thee.

Ohlins, too— Barry at 3DM is great for them.

KWs start out not amazing, so rebuilding them to that isn’t a selling feature to me 😜

That's not true. I've bought a single shock from them. You'll have to go through a rebuilder though. But they have that option.

But their customer service to me is 1.5/5 at best. They have a human to talk to, but most of the time the human is a huge jack a$$.

Not any experience from anyone I know with coilovers from Bilstien. Sure can can rebuild if it is a part that actually make available. If it isn't they have told multiple people I know they have to buy a new set. You could buy one shock if it is one of the shocks they actually sell that isn't part of a kit.

I know there is a dislike of KW on this forum. Different tone if you are on a European forum., they are well known supplier to Porsche race teams along others. I wouldn't touch Bilstiens based on experience and in my experience are less impressive they what KW offers in their higher range sets. Ohlins I know are great, but KW doesn't deserve the hate it seems to get here in my opinion, but everyone has their own preferences.

We only get the KW V-series here, is there something else in Europe?

I know KW has really good motorsport dampers but I've never really seen that over here. I believe some of the turnkey race cars from BMW use KW setups.

I have the PSS10's and was able to replace one rear one since the mount broke off. Again, I wanted to iterate I went through a shop that works directly with Bilstein. I have the invoice to prove it.

When I contacted them directly to verify pricing from the shop, they were complete jackasses about it though.

I wouldn't buy another set from them after these PSS10's ever again.

If we get a GB for ohlins, i'll probably be in just to have a set on the shelf.

Interesting, that was the experiences I have heard, direct contact with them is terrible about that sort of thing. I was completely turned off of PSS10s after those experiences.

Yeah, while they are honestly a good entry track set up with some vorshlags. I think the customer service is horrible. It's understandable since they're huge and retail is disproportionate to the commercial sales. I am hugely turned off by their employees and will never consider them after this for aftermarket solutions again after this.

ohlins, kws, moton, jrz. Is who will get my money and support in future.
