That's pretty cool RC gives you a printout with the before / after volumes, OP.

That's a bummer. I had a different experience with Mepeh. He used to work near where I live so I met him in person to drop off / pick up my injectors. He sent me photos of my injectors on the bench. I didn't get volumes in a printout, but the imbalance in volumes was evident in the photo. No problems with the injectors afterwards as far as I can tell.

I tried looking him up a few years later, even texted him, but like usdmej mentioned he just fell off the face of the earth.

I understand the concern with "made in china" products. But lets not forget we are comparing it to a 15year old injector. Even if it was refreshed i do wonder how it stacks against a brand new bosch

i tried an injector rebuilder that was popular on the forums a couple of years ago. he sent me rebuilt ones and i sent my oe ones back to him. when he got the cores back he claimed some of them were broken to the point of no repair so he didn't give me a full core refund. later on when i was chasing some tuning issues and exhausting all possible options, i noticed that rebuilder had disappeared off the face of the earth without a trace. not wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt, i bought new bosch injectors from FCP (they claim they're OE), swapped them out, and after a retune my car went back to running perfectly

MEPEH? I have a set of 100k units rebuilt by him, no problems, but that's concerning to hear

I used RC Eng for my e36 with good results, though I've heard some ppl bad mouth RC as well.

No one's perfect, but you'd hope cleaning injectors would be pretty well understood and feasible.

The $50 boschs are all out of stock, I just checked.

Here's an idea, can we find a bosch for another BMW model that are slightly larger, for those of us with bolt-ons and or E85, that are made in Germany and aren't too expensive?

I've had my injectors serviced at RC also. I had similar numbers on the injector sheet and you would think that you would notice better performance with dripping injectors and pretty low cc measurement. But the car felt the same. But I guess, for peace of mind. It's not too bad.

On turner they now cost 79$, i ordered on ecs last month a set for 280$, and really that is better then my 19 years old injectors, in my country bosh cost the same as original about 200-250$, and that is absolutely abnormal, new injectors on my supercharged range rover cost less

Nice find, but I try not to buy things from websites like that. Fingers crossed for you. Contact page says location is Michigan, but at the bottom it says "we're located in Knoxville, TN"

Well, between this and my floor mats, I guess I should just pack it in...

I went to this verification site, entered the code, check the hologram, says they're genuine.

Well that sounds shady AF. I strongly prefer new ones but just would like to minimize china parts as much as possible on anything, especially the M cars. With factories these days the Bosch ones from China are probably identical to the cheap ones from autozone and at that point...what is the point? Bosch may as well be dingfangdung brand. I have a set of oem with 100k on them so hopefully those will be good after a clean,

Arent iphones also made in china? I'd assume the reputation of the company also matters. What kind of standards they set for their product and where the individual components are sourced. Arent Bosch parts usually considered reliable/well made?

Wouldn’t it be cooler if it was made in Germany.

more serious though, my point is it’s too easy for a brand to move to China and just puke parts out under their name. Apple heavily enslaves, sorry I meant controls, their factories and there is no other phone that looks the same, it’s a bespoke piece but injectors are not. I don’t really know tbh but that’s my thought .Quality is probably okay but if I can, I’d avoid it. None of my replacement coils (Delphi or Bosch) lasted early as long as the old crusty bremi coils that were in it for 120k. Not even close. I bet a set of coils if I went genuine bmw they would have.

Yea i generally agree with your views there. Bosch is no Apple and an injector is no iphone. But a man can hope lol (already purchased them). Btw how long did your bosch coils last?
