It can be difficult and time consuming, but I avoid buying CCP junk at every chance I get. More and more are seeing it that way as well. Shell out an extra buck and buy from your own back yard if able.

This is the de facto response by every defendant of the chinese communist party. Not attacking you or anything but it's funny how people have exactly this one rebuttal to the argument which is literally the only example in the world that people can come up with. People don't exactly produce their for quality and quality control, jus sayin. If the quality was not good they would lose billions of dollars to another foreign country left to produce it.

Agreed in general. China is not exactly known for quality manufacturing standards. But exceptions do exist and my question still stands... should we consider Bosch as a possible exception?

Bosch is not what it used to be, they've gotten so big they are utilizing plants all over the world for production.

Another data point is their tools, a buddy of mine thought the name warrants quality but it's not a guarantee any longer.

Yet plenty of companies are continuing the trend to source their manufacturing to china and not other countries?

yep he really did have a good reputation back then and was also more communicative than the other companies. a decent amount of people were looking for him towards the end though and it just makes you wonder if there were some underlying issues that he just didn't want to deal with anymore.

since i went with the bosch injectors through FCP im committed to their lifetime warranty. in retrospect if i'd gone wiht RC i probably would have kept going through them for rebuilds.

Can somebody help me confirm whether or not the injectors have to go back in the same location they were originally installed? I marked them, but of course the sharpie got removed when they shop cleaned them.

I bought mine here too (Hassan recommended this site/Injectors to me). They were the 550cc ones, not sure if it was overkill or not.

No, it's not a cracked split like bearing caps. Unless you're trying to chase an issue and want to keep them in same location for consistency while you diagnose?

Nope, no specific issue. These were serviced for routine preventative maintenance.

I’ve heard people mention that some cars have injectors coded to specific locations. Maybe that’s just on newer cars.
