    Subframe Reinforcement Cost

I was wondering the approximate cost for parts and labor to reinforce the subframe. This is assuming there are no cracks that need repairing. Thanks…

That’s on the high end. I’ve seen a few shops do it between $1.2k - $1.5k

Just to put the figures in perspective..

Bottom plates (TMS) were done @Vorshlag: $1.3k (In 2015)
Top reinforcement (CMP) done @Coyne Performance: $1.5k (In 2019)

Surprised the top isn’t more expensive. Seems like a fairly invasive job based some of the posts I’ve seen.

Good info, next big job for my car.

I’m also in the PHX area and will need this work on my car soon enough. Will you DIY, or do you have a shop in mind?

$1.8K CAD in Toronto in 2017. 1 large crack welded, Redish plates installed, painted & coated with Wurth products. But this price was inclusive of Powerflex subframe bushings and RTABs, and OE diff bushings (might as well while we're in there).

Which wurth stuff did they use to match factory appearance after the work? Had looked into it before but then lost the info and don't have the energy to find it again lol.

Seam sealer and some rubberized coating I think it was.

Nah it wasn't matched, just painted black. But he used Wurth products because they were quality. I recall before the NAM3/MForum fiasco Brett Raymond was using some kind of 3M or SEM product I think to get a good match to the factory finish. Unfortunately all of that info is gone with M3Forum now

It's hard to say because it depends what parts you use and how much "while you're in there" type stuff you have done at the same time.

A proper "reinforcement" includes top and bottom solutions.

I'll be having this one done. I use Babbitt for some of the larger jobs on my car and they have a recommended shop in Scottsdale. I'll PM you the details.
