Hello,
Anyone here has had in their application either bypassed EKP altogether, or added separate relay in addition to, to the aftermarket fuel pump?
In my application the stock fuel pump is upgraded to handle E85 tunes, and we will be upgrading wires in coming days. And i'll probably upgrade the fuel lines (-6 lines with AN6 fittings), rail and filter afterwards just as peace of mind.
During wiring upgrades the plan is to bypass EKP with separate relay (higher amp, ~40 amp perhaps) to the fuel pump. And separate fuse in addition to stock 20A for fuel pump. Not sue at the moment the location of this new relay.
Question is, anyone in their application done this sort of mods in and around EKP?
If so, then does the extra relay caused any issue for you, eg. added switching delay, switching noise perhaps, etc. ?
Thanks.
