    Ha - definitely working on it. He drove my car the other day and enjoyed it… minus the rasp. It’ll be fun to try out all the different exhausts and think it will be valuable content.

    He’s never done “insane” builds like 2Jz swapped e46s lol. Check out his old e92 M3 build dating back to his original LMB one he had back in the day. He’s an OEM+ type of guy like many of us here. So don’t expect anything crazy. It’ll be a nice, Uber clean OEM+ build with all the nicest parts, that’s about it. Not sure the fixation of the thread being on judging someone by how they build their car, but I’m no different and have done the same “generic” mods as most of the guys on here and don’t regret it one bit. To share on YouTube or to share on the forum in a build thread, it’s all the same in my book.

            I think the S54 rasp is a sound that grows on you over time. Everytime he was grimacing at the rasp all i could think was how glorious it sounds. Wasnt thrilled by his reaction but was happy to hear a "contrasting voice"

              Everyone will have a different opinion on whether the rasp makes or breaks the sound of the S54. Same think could be said about straight pipe LS or Coyote motors but that’s opening another can of worms. IMO it’s great to a certain degree, at least a resonator in sect 2 to calm some of it down.

                      S54 sounds better hearing from inside than outside the car. At wot it’s glorious. Driving around town, too tinny/buzzy. Took some time to get used to. 5 different exhaust trial & error later, now I love it

                        I like the various exhaust notes all our cars hit but I've never once been completly wowed (maybe in person some of you all's cars would). I've driven too many other cars that are so much better in terms of exhaust. Just one component of the overall experience so not a big deal and besides it is the CSL intake that makes it special.

                          I do find Matt’s demeanor… agitating. But, his cars do end up pretty nice-- especially compared to the average youtuber.

                            Nice car BMWahba , but you would have been better off reviewing your own car . I could only watch 30 sec of his video and in that 30 sec of skipping through, IMO he sounds like he does not care about owning an E46M.

                            If anyone wants higher quality content from an enthusiast who really shows that they enjoy owning their E46M (and an E36M GT, Z3M, E30M), I suggest checking out Driven34 (has English subtitles) -

                              Not for me. After maintenance, getting rid of the rasp was my #1 priority. To me it sounds so bad it kinda ruins the whole car.

                                Thanks guys! I take no credit for my build - it's just as basic as all of the rest of us

                                I do find my car extra buzzy and raspy in the low end, especially around 3k rpm. Which is odd considering I have the dual resonated section 1, and stock section 2. I'm wondering if swapping the section 2 for the dual resonated supersprint would make a difference. Not that I dislike it though, it sounds incredible from outside the car at WOT.
