Dead spot in pedal, weird idle

Driving home the other day car would bog when shifting into first. Thought clutch was dragging, playing around with it i noticed the pedal had a pretty big dead spot and the car kept bogging because it wasn't getting enough gas. Going past the dead spot slips the clutch too much.

Scanned and had some tp correlation codes. Throttle bodies and icv have been cleaned, new throttle body gaskets. Original clamps. I ordered 2 new tps sensors. Anyone have any idea what else it could be?

The dead spot is maybe like 10-15% input. When i press rpms will slightly go up then i hit the dead spot. It feels pretty, long then when i get out of it the car screams to like 3k. When starting the car the idle is crazy, bounces around a lot, almost dies at times too on startup

Did you do the throttle body and ICV cleaning recently? If so, you should check to make sure your ICV is connected. What you described is how my car behaved when I forgot to reconnect it once.

If not, then yeah TPS sounds likely. You can check what each sensor is reporting with something like Testo to try and pinpoint the faulty one.

Yes the cleaning was done maybe 100 miles ago. I didnt have any issues with it until now, it happened overnight too not during a drive. I tried an amazon tps since it got here quicker but the throttle bodies wouldn't self learn and the car drove worse. Put the old one back in, oes from fcp should be here Tuesday. I'll check the hose when im home, not connected up top or at the bottom? Thanks

          Update.

          Fixedd

Did my ac fan last week, put some rags im my intake boot because i had the filter box off.
Didnt think one of the rags fell inside the intake, low and behold a blue rag was sitting under the 1st cylinder trumpet in the intake. Started right up with no hesitation, no more drinking and working on cars for me hahaha

Yeah, that would plug the idle control valve port under the intake manifold.

If the rag got to the intake valve and jammed in between valve and seat, this might cause a backfire into the intake and a real fire.
