S54 throttle bodies missing bearings for shaft??

As I’m preparing to put my car together, I noticed cylinder 2,4,5 do not have bearings on the hole that shaft slides on.

I’m curious as to why this comes like this from the factory?

Looking at realoem has listed same part number for 2,4,5:

IIRC…not all throttle bodies have the needle bearings.

Sorry misread question. Thought you were asking about the guides not bearings. Mine dont have them either

Yeah. It seems BMW designed them that way, for cylinders 2,4,5 not to have them. Just curious as to why because you can press them on there if you wanted.

Wonder if it’s just to prevent sticking…

Cost probably. No need to support the shaft anywhere besides the ends and middle.

Also because it’s very difficult to align more than 2 bearings on a single shaft. Almost never on a big shaft.
