DIY: Coding Fog Lamps and Bulb Recommendation

I have a 2002 M3 coupe and I would like to code the fog lamps to default “on”. To be specific, I don’t want them on when the car is simply running, but I want them on whenever the light switch is turned to positions 1 or 2 and even when the high beams are on. I’ve tried unsuccessfully to do this using BMW Scanner 1.4. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Additionally, does anyone know what fog lamp bulbs can be used to match the color temperature of the Bi-Xenon lamps?

    Thanks…

Don't be that guy who drives around with his fog lights on all the time.

What's with this matchy matchy thing everyone wants to do with their foglights I don't get it. I just got brighter bulbs and don't care what color they are as long as they're not fake-ids.

I put in yellow PIAAs to actually use them in fog which I've done for maybe 5 minutes one time lol

Well, I'm that guy. More light is always better than less and running fogs gives me a lower and wider side vision that the low beams can't. At least I don't leave my turn signal on...

Don’t think you can do this with coding. Because of the relays, it’s a wiring thing not a coding thing iirc.

Thought people use to run jumper wires and such (which I don’t suggest).

I live in one of the driest parts of the country. Humidity less than 5% is very common and fog happens here maybe once or twice a year. That said, I still drive with my fog lights.
