Once when I working through a issue with Jim related to my Kassel DME, I made the offhand comment of something like "I don't know if you send off the DME but I'm wondering if they maybe etc etc etc." I was trying to avoid laying direct blame because we weren't sure the cause. Jim quickly correctly me, saying we "we don't outsource anything" and continued the conversation.

If anyone is curious, the issue with DME was simply that the cover plate had a virginized VIN, and Jim defaulted to using that VIN. When reinstalled into the vehicle, chassis VIN was different and this caused flashing issues during tuning. I shipped the DME back to Kassel, Jim flashed the correct VIN and he also bench tested the DME by flashing two different ways himself. Later on, with re-tuning, no more flashing issues.
