If this is a 1966 Porsche 911 with 63K miles, flooded, many people would jump in to restore it back to its glory form. This is nothing compared to a badly rusted 911.
Yes, very sad. Having said that...should have driven them. Then it would be a 1M with 50k miles.... So wouldn't be that big of a loss...and some memories too boot.
I'm trying to buy it from him even with the flood... water just got up to the bottom of the seat, so I think it's not that bad.. could be worse!
New car is (basically) all done. Just need to do some paint correction and a tad of PDR cosmetically. Other than that, want to add wiring for the multi-function steering wheel in a ZCP chassis (I like the radio controls on wheel)..
I went with Safeco agreed value insurance. I got the car insured for $50K at $180/mo. (This is my only car). I’m allowed 5K miles per year which works for me as I train to NYC.
I thought NY would crack down on that. Guess they're loosey goosey like FL. Buy a car from Florida and it could a title that's been wiped three times. You never know.
