This is coming from someone that ran a handful of GB’s on M3f.
    100% my thoughts exactly

Seems to me the line is attempting to be blurred. There's nothing wrong with running a business but let's face it, these are luxury mods for m3s, not a bluetooth adapter (for example) filling a much needed void bringing a chassis into modernity created by an enthusiast for enthusiasts. This is commercial posting under the guise of "helping people".

Those who are interested will simply continue to follow in the vendor forum, pretty straightforward.

Let the man continue to GB on the forum.

Personally I already follow him on other social media sites and love seeing all the products he brings to the community.

Keeping this thread open for much longer just won’t be productive.

Per the original topic of this thread, I’d like to see Epoustouflant continue to seek out cool stuff for the e46 platform and I hope typical forum negativity doesn’t spur him to abandon the pursuit. I haven’t bought anything via Connex (yet; I backed out of the CSL diffuser GB and he was very gracious about it) but I look forward to seeing his future group buys. Seems like he listens and finds unique offerings for us enthusiasts.

That is the vendor treatment per these rules.

    2) If you’re having a sale, promotion, etc, we have a vendor sales section in the classifieds
You want a buying methodology that is dependent on participation thresholds to unlock lower prices to be pushed to a low visibility section of the website - i.e.: the vendor section.

It's safe to assume group buys & crowdfunding will be less popular, and thus, less valuable (and potentially complete failures) for the community (you, brands, me).

    Who wins?

Still haven't defined what is a fellow enthusiast! Let me help.

Do I need an E46 M3 to be considered eligible to run group buys for E46 M3 parts?

It's a Y/N question, and it will correlate 1:1 as an answer to this question you've also avoided.

As we’re on the topic of rules.

Historically, these questions might expose things you might not have chosen to bring to light. As you are not (and can’t be) a paid sponsor, no protections are offered. That said, people that are being obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious will be dealt with.
I welcome the first part. I’d love to hear other members perspective on your latest posts and if they feel it corresponds to the second part of these rules.

I will gladly close my account on this forum if that is what you decide, and you only.

I do not need to feel like a pariah, it is counter productive to what I seek to build.

    You choose usdmej

    You asked

my main rub is the shadow games and wheeling and dealing that epoustouflant does under the guise that he's a fellow enthusiast

I laid out why I first registered here and how it came to me being active here. I can confirm I wasn’t selling anything - the GB had already been shared by Obioban himself.

It was ironically a GB with “spirit” where having more quantity with E46 M3 “fellow” enthusiasts allowed all M3 owners to save more.

You’re still not answering any questions I ask. A genuine discussion with you is, as it always is, impossible to be had - at least now it’s for everyone to see.

Seems pretty clear you think I use the “enthusiast” moniker as a disguise.

by saying or acting as if something is other than what it really is

i wasn't saying that he actually had multiple accounts, but he does refer to himself and EuroConnex as different entities depending on how it suits him which i find petty as a forum member and deceiving as a vendor
Let’s slice it another way; do you think I would have built EuroConnex if I wasn’t a BMW M enthusiast and owner?
