I am looking for some photos of a carbon box in 1x1 plain weave? I literally cannot find a single one on the whole internet! Does anyone have a photo of a 1x1 air box by any chance? Just curious how it looks under the hood.

I'm pulling the trigger on my CSL airbox this week from Karb and I'm absolutely torn. I went with 1x1 plain on everything but was considering doing the airbox in 2x2 to keep the CSL theme alive.
Since I did the Karb engine cover and cabin filter cover in 1x1 I may just go with the same for the airbox. Still on the fence.

But not sure what the CSL trunk was made of...I assumed it was CF.

A guess here...BMW likely primed them because of manufacturing defects and they were a painted part. A roof is relatively simple to manufacture. A trunk is a molded in two parts and then bonded together.
