    Vanos OIl Line

    I am about to get started on redoing my vanos. While doing that, I was going to replace the high pressure oil line, and I am wondering what options people recommend. I know Rogue and ECS have stainless steel options, but I was unable to find any reviews on either. If anyone has experience (good or bad) with either, or with another brand, I would love to hear it.

    I chose the BimmerWorld VANOS line mostly because it's blue. No issues so far (~8k) and I don't see why there would be any issues with the Rogue or ECS lines.

      No issue with either of my Rogue lines. Stock hard line may be a safer design given VANOS oil pressures, but in practice the aftermarket lines seem sufficient and cheap enough to carry a spare to the track if you're nervous.

        I installed a blue BimmerWorld line and my rod bearings failed as soon as I used my left turn signal.My life has been pretty horrible ever since. I'd steer clear.

        3 track days and 7,500 miles in and all is well.

            On Rogue line for about 20k miles includes track/autox/canyon/daily.
            Youtube DIYs and more

            All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

            PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

                +1 for the Bimmerworld line. But its an easy enough part to replace. No need to do it while you're overhauling VANOS. If its not leaking just leave it be.

                  What's the replacement interval like on stainless steel lines?

                        The official BMW motorsport one does look pretty pimp from what I remember, but I can't find a good picture of it anymore.

                            I went with the Updated OE BMW when I did my vanos. I liked that is was a solid line with the added mounting point. My original non-updated line was still fine when I removed it at ~90k miles so I figured the upgraded oe bmw line should fine for a long time.
