BTW the coil overs I eventually want to get are TCK SAs, however when I called them today they said their system is completely incompatible with any camber plates that can fit with the stock suspension. Bummer.

That sounds wrong to me. They might be a communications issue there. The most common plates have little adapters and different perches. So ya, maybe TCK konis won't work with a camber plate that's already setup to work with stock (I'm not even sure that's true, TCKs are just Konis), but you put a 60mm perch on the camber plates and BOOM, it'll work with TCK or KW or H&R or billy or any other 60mm spring/strut.

I've seen other people mention this too, and I don't understand. If the perch fits the spring, why wouldn't it work? Seems like even stock strut mounts would work with the right size perch.

The advantage of an adjustable camber plate is to easily switch between street and track camber settings. If you don't want/need that ability (sounds like you don't), just swap the hats (free) or use the Dinan static adjustment change plates.

That said, the Turner plates can work with TCK or stock suspension, albeit with different spring perches.

Anyone know off the top of their head what happens to caster when you swap stock hats? I think stock is around 5 to 6 degrees positive. You'd want to be there or a little more positive, not less.

My caster measured at 7.2° left and 7.3° right with the hats swapped

Awesome! Seems like a no brainer for a lowered street car as long as the dampers have enough travel.

If you're asking me, yes that's what I mean. You should also look into other brands, TCK is not the be all end all answer here.

Yes TCK told me under no circumstance was their suspension compatible with any camber plates that were in turn compatible with a stock suspension.

Obviously, the stock spring can't sit on the 60mm perch.

The point is, you swap the stock spring top perch for a 60mm, and presto your plates will work with TCK.
Those would be the circumstances that TCK seems to think don't exist?

He's either playing a game of semantics or being pedantic. Plates, in a particular configuration to hold stock springs, would not, without modification, accept TCK VVS 60mm springs just like your new 18" wheels not accepting your old 19" tires, duh
