    Any experience with Rogue Engineering?

Bringing my 02 M3 in for rod bearing service and engine mount replacements. They're having a deal for the month of April (thanks to COVID), rod bearing service is only $999 so I wanted to make use of the savings.

Anyone have their car worked on at Rogue Engineering in Upper Saddle River NJ? The guys seem knowledgeable and this is the best price I've seen in the area- VAC in Philly quoted me for $2500 for the same job.

Also, any experience with ACL rod bearings? They mentioned these are the kind they replace OE bearings with.

I've bought some parts from them, but never went to their shop. I've heard mostly good things about them.

I think Hassan had very good results in ACL bearings.

I installed ACL bearings ~8k ago and haven't had a problem. Lang Racing said great things about them, which is why I went with them over OE (also price).

I got my diff bushings from them and passenger side rear one developed a play after like 10k miles, so I replaced the diff cover with OEM. I see now they only sell front diff bushings, so maybe it has something to do with my problem. I also have transmission mounts from them, they work fine.

Prior owner on my old Z4M (abashoe on Z4post) took his Z3M and Z4M there and only had great experiences. He was in NJ (I'm in MN so no personal experience with them).

I’ve had my clutch replaced and some other work done. Knowledgable guys with resaonable prices and no issues or drama. They also attend Track events in NJ area and provide Support to folks that have had work done in the shop. Overall, a very positive experience. I mostly do my own work on the car but this is one of the rare places I’d take my car to.

Well RE has been around in the BMW circle for many years. I don't live anywhere near there but their name is well known (Ben) and would expect good things from their shop.

Ive dealt with Rogue for a decade and a half. They've always steered me in the right direction. Regardless if that was making them money or not. They've done everything from supercharger installs, suspensions, engine work, and maintenance for most if not all of my bmw's

I don't have any reason to believe that the RE price is suspect but I think you're right to ask the question. You've got some good in-person reviews above and myself, like others have chimed in, have purchased parts. I like Ben on personal level but we've only ever spoken on the phone.

Just something to note: there are going to be components either needing replacing or recommending replacing once they get into it. So I would budget $1.5 - 2k for the service after accounting for other bits. I'm talking bushings and other worn parts that may be discovered. If $999 is your limit, I would not take it in at this time. You will feel backed into a corner when they are halfway through the project and the its recommended additional stuff is needed, and that's not a great feeling for anyone.

They’re excellent. Been in the game forever and know what they are doing.

I ran acl bearings in my subaru ages ago and never had a complaint. It was hard to pass up 80 bucks for their S54 bearings. I picked up a set for my rebuild though the BE bearings in there only had about 2k miles on them.

They are 1 state over from me in New Jersey, they have a great reputation around here. I took a picture of their track car at a car show a few years ago.

Yeah they are legit. Bought parts from them and even did some pick up in person.

                              Facility is nice and clean.

I am sure they will be thankful for the business right now.
