I went to canada to buy my 2002 PY on kiwi w/smg. The import tax was 2.5% and the exchange rate more than made up for it. Seller was asking 17g. can which ended up costing me around 12g. usd. I

Thanks, I forgot about the importation headache. One of these days I may have cause to look into the rules for 25+ year old cars.

Agree, but I'll take the win (Topaz) while the scales are still in my favor. 😁

Sidebar: I know I'm opening myself up to ridicule again, but regarding the blues...

PS. I'm now holding fast to Voodoo Blue. I have a Karb trunk on the way and it will not be painted Topaz.

The scale is factual as is.... already got a plaque made and everything.

SMG at -10 is fair as opposed to -15 or -20. SMG is not as much as a nerf as a vert- and ultimately it is not too hard to modify to a 6spd. it is probably easier and less expensive than doing a Dove to black interior swap- hence why Dove interiors get a bigger hit. Interlagos cars get +10 total for both the color and the ZCP package. By itself- the color is not quite as desirable as the other shades that get a +10.

IR interiors can be a little divisive- at least certainly more than Cinnamon which barely eeks out a +5. PY is almost objectively bad. But I guess there is a growing group of people that like to be contrarians and purposefully look for these. We can remove it from the scale as it can be a bit of a wildcard, then.

    50 + 5 (manual seats) + 5 (2003.5) + 10 (Mystic Blue) + 10 (slicktop) + 10 (M Tex) = 90.

    Seems legit.

Mostly ok. But +10 for PY. Baby Crap Yellow FTW!

So it seems to me that OP has asked a very astute question at a very appropriate time, and both the polling of members here and the "market" out there are very much undecided.

At this rate, convertibles will be trading higher into the future...🤣😂...

I understand, it's easy to assume "ooh the rare model will be the one to have; and it's Competition"... but I looked at it and was like "Nah I'm straight... it's not much different, and I'm not sure I care about the differences... certainly not at the expense of a drop top."

Agree, I really dislike every time I get a press car that has one and I would never put one on my own street car. Track car only equipment IMO.
