Had to tow the car home (thankfully for only the 2nd time in the last 16 years) because the SMG dropped me out of gear on the road and refused to engage. Scanned the car and saw SMG 23/Solenoid Valve Clutch errors which were static (after clearing, the car would change gears, but as soon as I tried to drive off it'd drop back out to neutral). Of course I ordered a replacement solenoid before tearing it down, but looks like the hydraulic fluid supply line popped out of the pump inlet (which should be held down by the red retaining ring). It has a small piece missing from the exposed lip (which im not sure should actually make a difference because the actual body of the retaining ring seems intact).
Has anyone had any luck sourcing a replacement? I've already poured through mcmaster, and the closest things I'm finding are push connect fittings for air/water. Or should I just zip tie it down and call it a day?
