You get used to it very quickly. But yes, you can no longer drive like "Ma, look, no hands".

Plenty of wheels readily available that’ll look great without having to constantly have a death grip on the steering wheel 🤷♂️

I don't generally drive with my knee or anything, but having the car dart all over the road gets old, IMHO, especially on a street car. While I generally trailer my track car to the track, I have been known to drive it (It has a license plate/insurance) and dealing with the darty steering isn't a big deal on short trips. But that would get old driving to the supermarket with the kids in the back.

I don't want to keep beating a dead horse, to each their own style. I always keep 2 hands on the steering wheel unless I'm shifting. I daily among other things, including taking wife/kid in back seat on 300+ mile road trips.

Square with toe out in front, on the other hand, yes, gets a bit tiring. But anyway guys, toe in and stagger works, as long as you enjoy the car, that's all that matters. 👍

Honestly. I'm grateful everyone has their opinions on wheel set ups. I wanted most of everyone's input so it can help me choose a great looking and great feeling wheel set up.. I'm leaning toward a 18x9 ET25 front and a 18x10 ET25 or 22.
currently the wheels I have on now rides like I hell... i feel every crack, pit and dip in the road.. like pretty much running on bare rim...
I dont like 20s personally.
but I think all the inputs from everyone helped me decide on not getting a square set up..

I know most of the guys on here are either tracking or DD their M3s.
mine will be a DD. If everything donh break on me of course .(M3Probs)

I've been stuck on wheel set ups for a few months now.. but all the info I have from you guys helps alot !!

I run a square setup, 18x10 285s. My car doesn't dart around and isn't hard to drive at all. I also think 19" wheels look dumb on a e46 don't don't even ask about 20s, besides they won't work performance wise anyway.
