eBay carbon fiber dash from darkcarbonfiber

    Hi everyone,

Just curious has anyone bought this ebay carbon fiber dash trim see pic below. The seller is not being direct with me about how the carbon fiber is applied if it’s a wrap.

The eBay name is darkfactorycarbonfiber , please advise.

I got this set early 2020. Happy with it. It is a wet overlay so the trim pieces are a few mm thicker. It's held up well, no discolouration or yellowing. Don't have any photos of just the trim but here's a couple I dug up of the interior.

Yeah Id say so. I've seen a few other sets in person and mine has been my favorite. Fitment is nice. Just bear in mind it's a wet carbon overlay so it adds a bit of thickness to the pieces. This doesn't affect fitment but if you look around the headlight switch you can see what I'm talking about. Overall very happy with it. I even learned how to wet layup and did the shifter trim myself after getting the dash kit since a new cf shifter trim is kind of stupidly priced.

How big of a learning curve was the wet overlay? I've considered doing the same...

Not hard, just need the patience. It's a lot of sanding, trimming, fitting, repeat. Good materials is a must. I ended up overlaying my old oem trim and selling that to make up my material cost and I have plenty of material leftover and a new skill. The only pieces I did for my interior were my smg and shifter trim. I manual swapped since then so now it's just the shifter trim. If you're hands on I'd give it a go.
