Alfa 156 2.5 V6 manual. I don't really commute anymore but when I did I bought this for jelly beans to do that in, I kind of fell in love with it actually. Honestly it sounds better than my M3 and all in (including mods) costed less than a set of tyres . Collected parts from modified 156's that showed up at the scrap yards, so this thing has a full exhaust, bilsteins, GTA wheels and a few other bits and pieces for scrap prices. One day I'll drop a 3L motor in it but for now this does the trick.

Would never do it again, holy hell it's so awful lol.

Car itself not moving or on, is really cool though haha
What didn't you like about it?

I just recently picked up a 4.4is for cheap as a second daily/snowboard trip car and I'm loving it. Only 82k miles, perfect condition interior, exceptional exterior for the age. The only issue I had to address mechanically was worn axle boots. Same bolt pattern and center bore as the E46 so I threw some A/T tires on my staggered set of ZE40s off the M3 and now it's sitting pretty.

The X5 is primarily the fiancé's daily (she works from home so gas mileage isn't too much of a concern). I mostly daily this thing:

I've gone back and forth about selling the 4runner to get an X5. Would love to get one in that condition!

The 4.8iS with the N62 engine has it's own set of issues separate from the M62 which other than a few things, is pretty stout.

Air suspension is awful, but fixable.

My pano roof broke, it's common and annoying.

My valve seals were about to go, right before I traded her in (immense smoke on cold startups).

Transmission refused to shift into 5th gear, would lurch and skip 5th into 6th.

Transfer case failed at 88k. Like what.

Window regulators like all BMW's extra spicy garbage.

                    Abysmal fuel mileage.

I bought it once I realized my M3 was no longer gonna cut it as an only car. I wanted an E39 M5 (this is in 2014) but back then they were hard to find still.

Thought the 4.8iS was a replacement/lifted M5, it's not even close but they both steer like garbage.

My current 3.0 6MT X5 is much different.

I'm sure the 4runner would be a way more reliable option, but if you can live with fixing things here and there the X5s are pretty cool. We probably won't keep this for too long, I plan on selling it before it hits 100k miles.

Yikes that's a lot of issues. Post pics of your E53! Is it a factory 6spd?

I daily an E90 328i 6MT! Searched far and wide to find this exact spec: LCI, 6MT, M Sport, single hump dash, manual seats. Flew from MN to FL to pick it up last year and have absolutely loved it so far!

Glad to see I'm not the only person here daily driving a Macan. This photo is from the day I drove it home, coming up on 3 years with it already.

It's a 2016 S, with most options. Sapphire Blue, RS Spyder Wheels & Sport Mirrors are what sets it apart from 90% of the other Macans I see on the road.

Started out with an E60 535i as my main daily driver for several years. My brother nonchalantly mentioned he wanted to sell his E46 M3 for a C5 Corvette. I jumped on it and had a tough time picking which car to drive between the s54 and tuned n54. I got the 98 Mercedes E300 from him as well, which we didn't realize at the time has an incredible om606 motor. It's in rough shape but has become my daily driver after selling the 535i at 150k miles. I kind of want a Lexus GX470/60 to daily in the future.

                                Curious, does he regret that?
