What else but an e46 325i I picked up for a song. 110k, all I've done is fuel pump and rebuild the calipers and it's great when there's salt on the roads or have to park at the airport or in the city. Only disadvantage is when I go to hit 6th out of habit after driving the M3...

Insanely jealous! The Raptor would make the perfect complement to the M, at least for me / my purposes. Until that day comes, the M is the daily, but it's in the cards.

The perfect garage for me in terms of character / driving experience / purpose would be:
E46 - Beautiful, nimble, hauls ass (okay maybe not compared to cars these days)
Raptor - Brawny, versatile, seats 5 comfortably, hauls shit
i3 - Quirky, efficient, city-friendly, but still fun

2015 X5M. My favorite ass and dog hauler. We take this thing everywhere and it's been nearly flawless. Now that it's at 80k miles, I'm looking to drive it less and add a more commuter & dog friendly car to the lineup. It's a shame the F30 Wagons w/the Sport Package are so rare!

Yea I wanted to manual swap a 100 series LC but this was much much much much cheaper.

    Also heated steering wheel ftw

Paid $1300 for it because the dealer that took it in on trade didn't know how to drive stick.

It's a sport package with cold weather package and thankfully a regular sunroof.

On 18's and Nokian R3 Hakkas it's literally a tank in snow.

On 20's in the summer it's slow AF and get's meh gas mileage.

I had the OE 4.8iS body kit installed just for looks and someone local was parting haha

Not around here it seems .. they’re posted at more like $2500 for an undriveable rusted out POS to $4k+ for a decent one. Maybe a product of the current used auto market insanity. Still, $2-3k is cheap enough to buy and get a few years+ of winter beater use out of. I’ll grab one if I can find a good deal, but not driving enough these days anyway to really need it.

Yeah, luckily I bought in Dec 2020 before things got real crazy. I will admit the Gen 3's are growing on me but I plan to hang on to the Gen 2 for a long time.

Good to see another Raptor/E46M3 combo nearby! I'm in the NW corner of Plainfield. I have seen a Blue Gen 3 near my house a few times, only one I've seen in the area so far. How long have you had your M3?

LeMans Blue M Sport 335d with Fox Red M3 interior. 380 whp, 570 wtq and averages 33-35 mpg. Insanely reliable too, only spent a couple hundred bucks in repairs over the 38k miles. I put about 1000 miles a week on this thing and it drives perfectly. Really fun to drive too, great handling and mannerisms.

Also have an Orient Blue E39 530i I'm using as my other beater.
