    Solid Subframe Bushings

I love mine (Turner aluminum). Excited to drive a track again-- only managed one this year (Palmer Motorsports Park). This car ...

What has been your experience with solid subframe, OE diff bushings?

Do you have reinforcement done on the floor to handle the beating of the solid bushes?

Solid AKG subframe bushings and oe diff bushings here. Absolutely nothing to complain about nearly a year later after subframe reinforcement. SDW monoball RTABs as well. Rear end feels planted with no added NVH over the stock setup. Love it.

Curious how your road noise is? My car has solid subframe bushings but makes a lot of road noise. Trying to determine if the noise is because of the bushings or my Hankook RS4s...

Road noise is the same as it was when I was stock. Possibly slightly louder but that’s due to the Kw V2s on the car. Running Michelin PS4S all around.

Went withParts Shop Max solid subframe riser bushings a year ago w/AKG 95A poly diff bushing. I have a vert so I don't notice any additional noise with the top down, but with the top up I hear the diff whine a bit over 30 mph. Usually my radio is enough to drown it out though.

Maybe not savage, but dumb AF in my case. Yes running solid diff bushings and they are loud AF. I will be going back to BMW bushings. The gear whine is unbearable on the street and I like to hear things. It's just too much however, IMHO

Lol, goes to show that NVH is so subjective.

Tbf, bjz is notorious for those sort of comments. He calls people idiots if their experience/opinion doesn't line up with his. You notice a lot of those types of posts from enthusiasts- not willing to be honest about how mods have compromised the car or dismissing any negative because it doesn't "matter" to them. They rationalize it so as to support their original statement that "there is no added nvh" or whatever the claim is.

I'm used to the sounds you hear in a completely stripped down racecar where every pebble you run over gets tossed up against sheet metal and resonates throughout the cabin. I like hearing some noises and LOVE the sound of straight cut gears in a racing transmission, for example. But for a street car, the noise level was WAY more than I anticipated. I'll own it if I eff something up, and I certainly effed up with solid diff bushings in a street car. The whine above 40mph hurts your ears after about an hour.

So yeah, NVH is subjective, but I'd also argue my tolerance for NVH is higher than most. For this guy (me): Solid diff bushing = too much shouting.

I will send you a link to the "hi fidelity" ear plugs I use on longer trips.

I'll have my exhaust to cover up the whine
