Tech Indicates RTABs Need to be Replaced

the tech at my shop indicates that my RTABs are busted and need to be replaced. the are OEM and now 16 years old and 80K miles. what can i expect in terms of improved ride quality and handling after i replace them?

Your rear toe won't be all over the place and that will improve handling and straight line stability. RTABs are usually done at that mileage.

I second the Syncro Design Works bearings- they're expensive, but don't really add any NVH and the rear end feels completely locked down.

+1 for Synchro RTABS. They drastically improve handling with barely any NVH change.

Agree with synchro works bushings. You would only notice on bridge or pavement joints as they pass on a solid thumb, but is not bad. And the rear end is very planted over bumps when cornering

Even new stock will be the biggest upgrade you’ve ever done to the car. I’m surprised 16 year old, 80,000 mile RTABs are even drivable.

RTABs (and FCABSs) don't add much NVH. Maybe the occasional buzzing. Just stay away from poly to avoid the inevitable squeaks.
