Where do I have to apply this blue compound

I purchased the Inner CV boot repair kit from fcpeuro to replace the boot for my 2005 e46 M3,the kit comes with small yellow tube written on it " universal jointing compound ", where should I apply this blue sticky compound??

weird, my 2 gkn kits did not have that stuff, but had everything else pictured.

Oceansize thank you but the e46 is different in assembly,

I saw a lot of sellers not include it with the kit
but no one mentioned how or where to use

I contact Fcpeuro and there is there replay

Hylomar sealant and goes on the caps and you can also add a little bit on the boot lips too.
