    Dinan upgraded coils

    Hi
Up for debate what do You think about dinan upgraded coils?

    #2
Can't speak to their quality but I like under Features how the put the following.
    • Red housing with Dinan Logo.
    • True upgrade, not just aesthetic.
Oh boy a red housing that I'm never going to see lol.

Edit: And hopefully someone can provide some input as I'm going to replace my coils soon as preventative maintenance.

Like Oceansize said we’ll never see them so curious about actual specs as the pricing is in line with Delphi / Bremi etc.

New OE ones are Chinese now aren't they? Doesn't look like it's advertised where these are made though ...

I need too to change my coils, wonder if these are a good alternative to OE / OEM items.

These just came out three days ago according to this blog post on Dinan meaning we aren't going to get any input.

well if someone is running a vented valve cover it could be a nice touch, as they are in red/blue/black color ways

That means they're starting with something even cheaper. Hard pass.

They are just OE coils with red caps.

Are Eldor chinese made? I just replaced mine 2 years ago and they've been fine.

Per Turner Motorsport , DINAN ignition coils are made in China.

I thought eldor was italy??? I just bought bremis for the s85, they were made in Germany. The S54 bremis probably are too. However, my bosxhbinjector for the s54 was Chinese and the s85 boshc was German. So. Guess I don't know haha.

The newer versions of this coil seem to last longer. The early Bremi's were bad and the Bosch's were horrible.
