Crazy lighting issue after Avin Ibus install.

Hey guys, I just got around to installing the ibus usb for my Avin Avant 4. All went well until I locked the car and all of the exterior lighting bugged out for about 30 secs. Eventually it stopped. So I took everything apart and removed the ibus usb and it went back to normal.

Has anyone else experienced this ? It only happens when I lock the car and then happens again when I unlock.

Here’s a video of what I’m talking about.

That's a pretty crazy "feature". No clue about that, but sending to another forum member who is knee deep in this install.

Didn't you have custom lighting completed recently? Or was it all cosmetic?

I just had the projectors replaced.

I removed the ibus usb and the lighting issue immediately went away.

in the iBUS app in the settings somewhere, I saw there was some type of Light Dance setting and I've seen other videos where people programmed their lights using iBUS to dance with this setting

i believe its called COMING HOME in the light section

Do you have nav? If so which connections (of the 4 routed to the trunk) did you use and where did you connect them? Also where did you find the instructions on how to properly connect the iBus adaptor?

I figured it out. Whatever the antithesis of stellar is, that's how I would describe Avin customer support. Just FYI for future potential customers...
