You're batting 1.000. I'm trying to understand what the driving force is for people getting corny or redundant plates these days. In CA we have a black retro plate option with ugly yellow lettering that every "car guy" is obliged to get to tick a box off on his mod list in addition to having their name, car model or some outdated slang plated. I think the purpose of them is lost among this generation and people get them just to get them to try and be unique but since everybody else is doing it, they're exactly like everyone else at meets. I can't help but smh when I see these unwitty or facepalm inducing words because people can't think of anything else to put. /rant

I've had my vp for 20 years and I'm considering going back to a number plate because it's so played out and unoriginal around these parts.

I get what you're saying however, the black just blends better than the ugly white ones with the dmv website at the bottom (cause you know, the dmv website is so important we must see it at all times. I also want to know what dingus thought a 6x12 plate was the perfect size. Poor auto designers have been forced to design around that ugliness for a hundred years.

Tell me about it. The old ass california font is atrocious on anything but a classic. The best were the 80s plates, the new script before they put the stupid ass url on the bottom is nice and clean/simple as well.

The yellow is so ugly it negates any coolness of the black plate. It pretty much clashes with every color too, can't see how white could remotely be considered ugly, it's white.

You got the best special edition plate though, the arts palm tree/sunset is super underrated. I'm actually glad I never see it just makes it that much more special. Dumdums be sleepin but then again trends never favor tasteful decisions.
