CSL air shut off valve

When installing a CSL style Airbox I understand that the original air shut off valve can be reused rather than buying the csl air shut off valve?

Is this correct? If so what needs to be modified?

Why is the CSL one any different?

Don't think the air valve is different, but the hose connects to the airbox in a different spot, and the hose is hard plastic and won't bend. So you need the CSL version or cut off the hard plastic line from the connector and swap the line for a silicone hose.

Why would you spend thousands on an airbox conversion and cheap out on a hundred bucks?
