One man's hoarding is another man's prudence...
    Old, not obsolete.

I thought I was just going insane. Even the Genuine emblems are no longer metal.

They've been plastic as long as I can remember.

You’re screwed because you have to hoard double the amount of parts.

No. If the car becomes too troublesome to maintain because BMW sucks and stops making parts, then I’ll sell it and enjoy my Miata more instead. That goes for my E39 too. I could sell both BMWs and just about get into a GT4 🙄 I hear Porsche cares about keeping its classics on the road, for a lot of money of course.

I hear part of their keeping old parts around strategy is making part prices inversely proportional to remaining supply.

Exactly why I'm not hording as well. If it gets too tough to maintain the car goes, I've got others to enjoy. Granted they may not be an e46 m3 but close enough to keep me happy.

I'm not hoarding any parts. Just purchasing race parts at the moment. Might start collecting SMG components moving forward tho.

I wouldnt say hoarding parts as im worried about them being NLA. But hoarding parts for stuff to do in the future or just spare parts. Ive got a ton of gaskets , bushings, rear strut bar, man i dont even know. Alot lol

Picked up two sets of OEM black carpets from a guy on CL for $70. You can bet I jumped on that.

No! absolutely not, You wouldn't happen to have a OEM E46 M3 CSL Intake lying around would you.
