Post-CSL Airbox Tune: Car Dying Instantly After Turned On Unless Throttle Applied

    Hey guys.

We just installed a CSL airbox on my '05 M3 (MAP Sensor option) so I did the CSL Conversion Tune with Hassan (HTE).

As title says, I have to keep my foot applied to the throttle or else the car will sputter/die. Is this a matter of the car needing to re-adapt? (I drove it like 5 miles on with the MAP installed with stock tune before we flashed)

Do I just need to drive it and it will go away?

    Thanks

No that's not normal. Did you forget to plug in the idle air control valve? Or any other sensor in that area

Read out codes and go from there

Along those lines, insure the MAF plug is connected properly.

Hmm.. car is running “Rich” codes. Right now I just have generic: P0172 and P0175

Use inpa or other tools to read values like intake temp and also try to reset idle adaptions. I know if the adaption is very far off and o2ˋs are disabled within the tune this can happen.I don’t know, if your tuner has disabled them (which is absolut okay in my opinion on Csl management, with good mapping and healthy engine it will ran absolut fine I drive also with disabled o2s without downsides, but things like this can happen then.)
          …under construction.

Which IAT did you use? The generic threaded one or the CSL? Both use a different scaling causing the temp to be wrong.

I used the generic one. Should I get a CSL one?

it should be good as long as it was coded for the US spec

The part number even matches but is like $60 cheaper. What MAP sensor are you using?

You want to get this one. It works perfectly with Hassan's tune. It may solve your problem.
