Removed my fuel injectors tonight and lost one retaining clip down into the abyss, I heard it plinko down somewhere but so far no luck. It's the electrical side retaining clip.

Cannot find a part no. and the type I find via a google seach would likely work but aren't quite the same and I'm a stickler for the right parts.

I cannot find this on realoem.

It’s because they’re part of the engine wiring harness (https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=12517831646) the retaining clips aren’t listed, or obtainable, separately.

If you’re after an OE replacement I’d suggest a junk yard would be your best bet.

That's what I feared looking on realoem.com, I bought a few off ebay for $8 shipped, steep for what the are but breakers yard entry fee here is 5$ alone.

Yeah, this would spoil the fun. I always attached a small magnet on the clip (opposite side of the hooks) with a small screwdriver jointing them, just in case.

I've successfully replaced these with a well-bent paperclip in the past

I had this happen to me a month ago when I installed some injectors.... literally thhe last thing i had to do when it was going all back together. I took the manifold off and found the clip behind the Idle control Valve, there is a little nook behind there. Good Luck
