      Note on why from builder/seller:

"The donor car was stripped. Whatever was able to be swapped over to the wagon went over. The shell and remaining parts went to a buddy who had just recently wrecked his track car. It just happened to work out that way as the seller of the donor car wasnt the name registered on the title and it was very difficult to swap over as he had left the country permanently after the sale."
Unique way to "make" 10 grand. Wonder how much the build cost was.

I would imagine most people doing these projects aren't doing it to try and make money, I own a shop and I'm not sure its a good business model at that price even for me.

I think you misunderstood my original comment replying to fattycharged or I'm not following what you're driving at.

If someone has the means and ambition, more power to them. Life's short. "Stupid" is a relative term too.

No I got you, you said your wallet wasn't F1 sized, I said mine wasn't $28k donor sized. But that doesn't mean someone else's isn't. Lots of people spend ungodly amounts on cars for no justifiable reason than they want to, personally I love the commitment to the project.

Got it! See I misinterpreted you, ha!

Yes they do (people spend ungodly money) and I agree with you.

My comment around the F1 wasn't so much pertaining to the cost but the rarity. M3s are still common. F1s are not. Turning an F1 into a shaggin wagon would feel a whole lot different to me than the way I feel about this donor M3 at the center of our attention.

Oh for sure not, on either count.

I spent hours looking for it for you (and forum). I see others at least “Liked” it yet nothing from you about it. Thought bringing this to light would get at least a response. Maybe even some kudos lol.
Lol, thank you for digging that up!

When I came back and checked the thread, the image wasn't loading. Then I went on a 4 day, 1200 mile road trip, so didn't really check the forum.

... Jet Dogg is right, I probably have never liked a post. I deeply dislike facebook, and seeing a like button just makes me think of facebook.

... any chance you could post the PDF of the document up? I actually also went digging for it, but couldn't find it in my archive.

I could not agree with this more. My very personal feelings on Facegram and the like (no pun) are 100% aligned with yours.

I'm gonna go like your post tho. 😂
