Supersprint v1 stepped headers on supercharged M3

    Hi

I need some feedback on supersprint v1 stepped headers combined with ESS supercharger. Is there any power gain? This is a oversized version so in theory more flow right? Apparently ESS advising not to use them because they disrupt o2 feedback.

    Interesting.

I would say it shouldn't make a difference but I've never heard of anyone using these headers with boost.

They do not disrupt o2 feedback lol

That said, It probably isn't worth the extra cost, if you're able to get some catless headers for cheap like Megan or used euros or used replicas like SGT, AP, fabspeed, etc.

But if you want the best....

I have a feeling ESS is telling you not to use them because their tune is made for stock headers.

If you get a proper dyno tune with a supercharger and SSV1s, everything should work just fine. Should make more power than with other headers too, but as other have said, probably not worth the cost since the engine is supercharged anyway.

Most boosted cars want something more free flowing, same diameter tubes. I do know that SS makes the 2.5" header where all tubes are equal diameter.

One option that you might want to consider is the RMS headers. They are oversized and purpose built for supercharged applications. I remember in the e36 m3 supercharged community they made more gains on a supercharged e36 m3 then any other header.

Well at the moment my setup is

              euro headers
              SS catless section 1
              SS resonated x-pipe
              SS lightweight race

Exhaust is not much of restriction as such. However bigger pipe diameter is always a bonus. I know that SS v1 making good gain on NA platform. I remember seeing some dyno data from evolve where v1’s made around 15-20rwhp on ESS supercharged m3. I also remember some threads from zpost forum where fella lost some hp after installing v1’s. He had to retune to see some gain.
