Consider turning DSC completely off and see if you get the same effect. (Do NOT turn DSC off/on while you are driving)

I was instructing in a car on Summit Point Shenandoah. The first time into the Karussell, DSC intervened (he forgot to turn it off in the pits). I told him that we will pit, turn it off and go back out. Came through Big Bend's exit and at ~90+ mph I saw the car drifting right into the narrow grass towards the wall. I looked over and he was leaning right to push the DSC button, unconsciously pulling the wheel right. We went for a not-good ride at speed with the right wheels in the grass. Bad juju.
Always change whatever setup in the pits. Everyone thinks they can do it at speed in traffic, and then.....
The wall doesn't know you and doesn't care who you are.

Once you're in a session your brain has a hard time adapting. If you take a corner a certain way with DSC on once you turn it off you're muscle memory is already established and the chances of crashing is increased.

Oh gotcha, I didn't realize you meant mid-session. That makes sense.
I've made the mistake of forgetting to turn off traction control before a session. Feeling that shit intervene on track is the worst.
