    Oil Analysis

Decided to get a Blackstone kit to test my oil - but I didn't think about how to get the oil out.

I'd rather not do an oil change right now as I only have a couple thousand miles on this change if I don't need to.

Are there any simple ways to get enough oil out to fulfill the analysis requirement?

    One of these: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben.../011885sch01a/

(No experience with that specific unit, but it's what first popped up in a search)

Otherwise just wait a few thousand miles for your next oil change and do it then

For that price, I think waiting until the next oil change is a good idea.

no problem. your post actually made me go to Blackstone to order more oil kits and I noticed they mentioned a pump. lo and behold, they have that now. pretty cool.

I'm going to wait until I do an oil change in the coming weeks haha

Those have been available for years. I've been using it for my analysis since I've started doing analysis more than 8 years ago. I like this solution is because it extracts the oil right into the test bottle - no mess and I don't get any contamination. And I can also do a mid-analysis if desired. Since I use a Mitivac extractor to change the rest of the oil, I never have to get under the car for an oil change and analysis.
