I think it's asking for trouble to mix procedures. If you don't understand the underlying concept of what you're doing, choose one (and choose wisely) and follow it exactly 100% to the letter. Don't use any others.

Agree with Obi.
Like I said, there is a lot that can be missed in video editing. It's not one continuous shot, and what is shown in minute 2 of edited video doesn't capture 7 hours of headache to get to minute 8 of edited video and things could be undone/redone in between and not mentioned in the edited version of the video. And then things are put together and buttoned up and you can't really go back and reshoot the frames.
Follow what is known to work and does it correctly, which is Beisan procedure.Youtube DIYs and more
All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.
PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

Thanks mrgizmo04 & OBI, it is crazy how every "procedure" is just a little different, or really the same . . . but the editing, cutting, leaving out steps in the video, trying to figure out sequence of videos make it a little overwhelming. I have been reviewing all of the resources several time, always using the Beisan procedure as the basis . . . ECS has a nice document as well, but it looks to be a lot of the Beisan systems procedure. There are so many little things that I am still figuring out before I try to tackle this . . . the PRE LOADING is the latest huge revelation. One questions is the S62 Diaphragm spring set, changing this out, does that have any impact on the pre-loading, and is it really necessary? And would it be advisable to change the CAM gears ( what the chain connects to ) ? Sorry for being a noob, bad speller, terrible writer, all around idiot.
