Fabspeed sect 1 rubbing chassis at idle...ideas? (Updated: custom fab needed)

I recently had a Fabspeed sect 1 installed and was warned by the shop who did it that it was an extremely tight fit. Now, after a few hundred miles, it's rubbing something. Especially at idle. If I coast forward a little, it will stop.

I am taking it back to the shop soon, but am hoping others may have ideas for how to keep the piping where it belongs 🙇‍♂️

Before I had the SSv1 section 1 I had a CPI that rubbed the corner of one of the plastic underbody panels at the bend — very loud drone at idle caused by that. Exhaust shop noticed where it was happening easily and trimmed it a few millimeters. I’d lift the car up and inspect as a first step.

In my experience, Fabspeeds (bank 1 iirc) can just kiss the reinforcement plate. I slightly bent my plate (alloy) with vicegrips.

To follow up on this, it was a little more involved than I'd hoped.

tl;dr: the Fabspeed pipe doesn't work well with a Euro header (and presumably US headers). The Fabspeed isn't able to get far enough towards the driver's side, so the cat ends up rubbing the headshield.

I ended up paying a muffler shop to extend the Fabspeed piece a little, which nicely centered everything up. Still...total PITA.

Curious if you talked to Fabspeed about this?

I tried but they are silent on it. The whole customer service experience with them during purchase and this incident has been disappointing.

That's a bummer. I have one on the way because I didn't want to wait for a SuperSprint piece.
