Parts: Six Eldor coils R3516S00100 and six NGK Laser Platinum DCPR8EKP plugs. The dual ground versions, not the quad ground. Carefully torqued to 22 ft-lbs
Removed from 2005 125K mile motor: five 17 year old Bosch coils and one unknown brand coil. Plus six fairly worn NGK DCPR8EKP plugs. The old plugs were barely torqued in place. That is one of the many reasons why I have taken over ALL the work on my car now, All plugs showed perfect air fuel mixture. No oil or carbon build up. Motor burns zero oil. Oil changes are at 4,500 miles.
My M3 has NEVER run better since I bought it in 2009 with 17K miles on it. Rock steady idle and a restored lower RPM throttle response. The car was running quite good before, but I was starting to notice some loss of power and response from idle to 4000 RPM. Now, even the exhaust note is different. My motor has always run great. Just never this good.
I endorse this combination of brand parts.
