I’m looking at replacement friction rings for track use for ST40 BBK and found that bimmerworld has Girodisc brand as an option. Has anyone here had experience with Girodisc rotors in general and more specifically for Stoptech replacements? Appreciate if any folks can share their experience as I’m considering trying something other than stoptech.

r4dr is trying to get ZCP rotors made by Girodisc - https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...ors-for-e46-m3. You might want to ask r4dr, but I don't expect them to be any worse than Stoptech rings.

BW is likely investing in girodisc due to supply chain issues at stoptech. I had placed an order with BW for some rings and there was backorder with no ETA. I was able to convince them to take the hw from one of their other kits.
The aerorotor hardware to mount the ring to the hat is hard to come by. The non-race hardware is $200 more per wheel than the race hw and the only difference is a washer.
I’ve seen some folks start to re-use the nut with a new bolt. Not something I would feel comfortable with.
