I get it. Gamblers gonna gamble. Don't look for the car on the road though, which... put it right next to Tiger Woods' putter you bought at an auction not for charity that you're never going to play.

Well, went for $120k plus $7500 in fees. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-m3-coupe-195/

    New Record, unreal.

Edit: And the winning bidder appears legit. Quite a few wins.

^^^ Exactly... and the consequence is some BaT "member" (an email and what else?) gets banned. Maybe people care, maybe they don't. This game works whether you have a number of them or just one. "It sold on BaT but the buyer backed out... still it shows what the car is worth..." Some song about "what people do for money" or something like this...

    On to this... https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3BegjLOA/2002-bmw-m3-coupe?utm_source=listing_alert&utm_medium=email&ut m_campaign=hero

I've never used the manual seats but I'm aware some people are after them.

There is also this game, but I'm not sure how well it works.

Well known dealer has some number of e46 m3s in inventory.
Puts one on BAT and the dealer via a third party bids it up.
Car sells at some ridiculous jacked up price.
The rest of their inventory, and newly arriving inventory, has magically increased in value.
The car that sold on BAT reappears six months later, back at the dealer, as an "alumni" vehicle.

Well I think the last guy to bid 100K for fun might be a bit nervous right now. I think BAT collects the buyer fee regardless, or at least attempts to.

Context obviously matters though. This is being priced off the bat(ha ha) as a collector level example. I would agree in this context 30k miles is not that low. <10k mi LSB examples went for less. It's way past the point of store it in the show garage grade.

I'd call 30k very low miles for a normal, driver car. If I was Mr. Moneybags paying 100k for an EAG car, it probably wouldn't be low enough miles to brag about to my Mr. Moneybags friends.
